Workshop Workroom Volunteers Needed
The Workshop Workroom is ready to rock and roll! We are in need of volunteers to start working on projects that are starting to come in from our awesome teachers and staff!
Most jobs will have a 2 to 3 day turnaround and can be taken home to cut, color, arrange, and glue. You can pick up projects, work on them at home, and drop them back off in the workroom before the requested deadline. However, there’s also a chance some teachers may have one day jobs that need to be done in the workroom. There’s a sign in and out system to make sure projects are picked up and completed in a timely manner.
The only jobs that must be completed in the workroom are laminating jobs and the machine will only operate with a key. We can train individuals that would like to work on laminating jobs.
If you would like to be a Workshop Elf, please email Elizabeth Edwards at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please specify if you’d like to be a take-home volunteer, workroom volunteer, or both.
Room Parents Needed
Usually Room Parent is something that is signed up for at parent information night. However, due to Harvey, Parent Night has been rescheduled for October 4th. Therefore, we are sending out our sign up for Room Parent via email. We need one Room Parent per teacher/class. It will be first come, first serve. However, if someone beats you to the punch, don’t worry, there are many ways you can help your child’s teacher and class!
Room Parent Responsibilities: (this does not mean you do it all – there will be volunteers helping you out)
– coordinate any assistance the teacher requires
– help plan and coordinate class parties
– help collect donation items for class raffle basket for Trunk or Treat (theme will be given to you).
– help with BoxTops for class
– other class specific drives/competitions, etc
Once we have all the room parents, the room parent committee heads will be reaching out to you about Trunk or Treat Raffle Baskets.
