PTO Board Treasurer – JOEY TRUDEAU – Joey.firstname.lastname@example.org
As a father to two daughters (a sixth grader at Bowie MS and a Kindergartner at Neill ES), I feel it is essential to be involved in their education and help the community we all are part of in some way. A 10-year veteran of the US Navy, I have served my nation both abroad during Operation Enduring Freedom following 9/11, and domestically training over 200 officers and sailors safe operations of our nation’s nuclear propulsion fleet of aircraft carriers and submarines. I continued my career in adult education the past 14-years, teaching more than 400 trainees commercial nuclear power plant operations. I am currently the Licensed Operator Training Supervisor at South Texas Project Nuclear Power Plant, 80 miles Southwest of Richmond, overseeing 16 instructors, 40 trainees and a multi-million dollar budget that interfaces with all facets of training and operations activities. Outside of my professional career, I make time to be involved in Scouts and other community service opportunities in the South Texas region. As a treasurer and executive board member, I hope to provide insight, influence, and a differing point of view based on my diverse history and experiences. I look forward to contributing my time and effort in the hopes of helping our community of educators, parents, and most of all, our students.
PTO Board Major Fundraising Chair – OSCAR SAENZ – Oscar.email@example.com
My name is Oscar Saenz. I am the proud parent of a Neill ES first grader and soon to be twin kindergarteners. My wife and I fell in love with the Harvest Green community in early 2018 and decided to make it our home. We have been blessed with wonderful neighbors, a set of new friends, and a place where our children can make their own childhood memories. As a product of the Texas K-12 school system, I am a passionate advocate for public education. In the past 20 years, I’ve worked all over Texas with multiple ISDs and have helped FBISD’s leadership meet District goals. I look forward to applying my experience to this role and helping our school provide an optimal learning experience for our children.
PTO Board Volunteer Chair – DORINE KOPIYO – Dorine.firstname.lastname@example.org
Hi, my name is Dorine Kopiyo. I am a wife and mother of three kids, one a college freshman and the other two here at Neill. Six years ago, we packed our bags and moved to the U.S and settled in Houston from Kenya. We have been at Neill since its inception, and I have actively volunteered at the school over the years. I am a stay home mom and a student at University of Houston Downtown. I am glad to be working with the current amazing Neill PTO as we support the school.
PTO Board Ongoing event Chair – ZURELLE PAULE
Hello Neill Family, I am a proud mom of 3 and my youngest is now a 2nd grader here at Neill. Over the last 6 years, I have been able to call Neill our home. Whether it was substituting, assisting in the classroom, chaperoning a Field Trip, working in the front office, or simply visiting my children and the amazing staff. Being a part of this school and community has been such a blessing for our family. The PTO team is deeply committed to providing support to families and teachers throughout the school year and what joy it brings to be a part of that. On our free time, my family and I love to travel, and explore State Parks. I look forward to planning fun activities with our phenomenal PTO team for years to come.
PTO Board VP/Communication Chair – TERRI MAYA
I am a mother of two, I have a son named Coltrane who is in first grade and a daughter Corrinne
who is in pre-k. We recently moved to Texas in 2021 from Los Angeles California.
Professionally I am in the medical field and currently in school to become a registered nurse.
Although I have a professional life, I am part uber driver, part baseball coach, part dance teacher
and sometimes a chef. The kids and I enjoy discovering things and playing in this great big state
of Texas. I currently volunteer at my daughter’s preschool as a policy council representative and
have loved volunteering at Neill for the past two years.
