On behalf of the PTO, we would like to invite you to our 2nd annual Neill Elementary School Trunk-or-
Treat on Thursday, October 18th from 5:30-8:30 p.m. There is no fee to be admitted into this exciting
event! What a great opportunity for you and your child to come to a safe environment and trunk-or-
treat and enjoy live music for FREE!
You may ask what is a Trunk-or-Treat? A Trunk-or-Treat is a safe alternative to trick-or-treating door to
door. Families come together and agree to decorate the trunks of their cars in a variety of different
themes and pass out goodies or prizes to children. This year we will host our Trunk-or-Treat at Neill
Elementary School. You have an excellent opportunity to participate in this fun-filled event by
registering your vehicle and paying a small fee of $10 to enter your vehicle. We will also be hosting a
“Best Decorated Trunk Contest.” Remember, decorating the trunk of your vehicle is an option.
If you are not sure what you should wear, feel free to come dressed casually or wear a costume. You
may also decide to purchase a Trunk-or-Treat t-shirt to commemorate this special event. The kids will
also have a chance to register and participate in a costume contest and take home a prize.
The fun doesn’t stop there! There will also be carnival-style games, booths with a number of activities,
a photo-booth, face-painting, food, and so much more! It is going to be bigger and better than last
year! We will only accept tickets throughout the Trunk-or-Treat event. We will be selling ticket
packages at a special pre-sale price. The tickets will cost $1.00 per ticket on the day of the event, so
get your tickets fast!
We will also have a large variety of items available for bidding through our silent auction. Bidding on
items and events is a fun way to support and connect with members of our local community.
Finally, Trunk-or-Treat is an amazing fundraiser for the PTO that enables us to help support the
teachers, staff, and the children of Neill Elementary School. There are many ways to get involved with
this event including decorating a trunk, volunteering to work a booth, purchasing family contribution
packages, and of course by attending this wonderful event! Your participation is an invaluable part
of our fundraising efforts! The following pages will provide you with a detailed outline and information
